Friends, my production studio (the Rodecaster Pro II) is broken. The power button wasn't clicking, so I pulled the cap off and the mechanism behind it apparently fell off. With a little shake I can hear it rattling around inside the unit, ugh.

I reached out to Rode about warranty / repairs as this is apparently a common problem with the unit and I am now just waiting for a response.

Since I NEED a solution by next Thursday, I might look into getting something cheaper to temporarily use and would love any advice or suggestions.

I have an yamaha ag03 as a backup. It's pretty bare ngl. But does have phantom power xlr and 2 other channels.

It does have a cool feature to do a dry mix OR loop back your audio.

If you just want voice I've been liking the behringer (I know) UV1 ultra voice.

Hardware mic pre amp with compression, eq AND noise gate.

You'll have to dial it in first to get your settings.

Hell yeah, thank you. Dialing in the audio is no problem here. I need that phantom power xlr and a second channel mix-minus for nostr:npub1ujt5f2qj0nave2m9t0s8jxlwufn8msc0hf62zlql0rd9247yuzwqtzmsud's Cleanfeed call. Bowl After Bowl actually started on a Behringer and now that I think about it, that board might still be around...but it might have a groundbuzz. Ugh, I can't wait to get back home and get it figured out!!

Less podcast oriented, but I’m very happy with my focusrite interface.
