It finally showed up!

So when I began writing letters to my family, I just started writing and I didn't think too much into the formatting and then I realized I actually care about that too, so I started digging.

I came across a few references to this book called "How to Write Letters" by a Professor named J. Willis Westlake from 1876. Naturally, I had to get myself a copy of it!

Now I did not just want one of the many reprints you can get and I don't care for extensive PDFs line what Google offers for free, no, I wanted the original.

Thanks to Ebay, I found one from 1883 that was in great condition so I picked it up! I found older ones, but they were in rougher shape and I wanted one that was in relatively good shape. Apparently this book is quite rare so this will be one of my few collectibles.

Now onto reading!

Thats really cool! šŸ’Œ

Isn't it! They're only a cool $200 CAD plus shipping!

But seriously, this was expensive. I do not regret it one bit but dammit if I'm not going to read this one cover to cover.

Enjoy the old wisdom and the appearance and take good care of them! You inspired me with writing letters. šŸ«‚

I fully plan to! I'll occasionally share parts I find interesting.

I'm also happy to point anyone to the Google link for the full PDF if they don't mind a free digital version.

Ohh nice! I think I’d like to lurk in there. :)

I think googling the name on the cover is enough ?

See above!

I would be interested in checking out the PDF! I don't really like reading long PDFs but this looks like something I could at least skim through.

If you scroll down a bit you'll see a download link for the PDF file.
