I see people swapping them here and there and that's why they use the same id (so that they can update without having to uninstall)
yah I wanna have the play version in my Googled profile to have translations when I'm there, then fdroid for degoogled. in general I do think on android its good practise to have a separate ID for both, you're the dev though so your choice mate 💯
