Hey everyone, as fees start to drop back, I’m starting to load my Node up with Sats. Before I get to deep in I have a question. My node won’t run over Tor, so I’m wondering if your lightning Node is running over Tor or Clearnet. I’m guessing if your running over Tor and running over Clearnet, we won’t be able to establish channels. If my thoughts are wrong, please tell me because this is new me. Thanks I’m advance my friends, hoping we can get some channels up and running soon. 🤙🏻

Fees are down around 20 sat/vB now so probably getting to the point where we need to decide what we want to open.
Terrible news according to numerous people last week who claimed high fees were a good thing and inevitable for Bitcoin.
No doubt the same people now believe low fees are a good thing.
This is why intellectual honesty is important.
You don’t have to pretend *everything* is good for bitcoin all of the time.
18 is a very lucky number.

You should join the #Nodestrich group where you can get some more direct support. Opening and maintaining channels is best when both peers can communicate. You can also find liquidity swaps to join, and get help when things go wrong.

I’m sorry, I can’t go that big right now. I only have 1.5M on my node right now. I was hoping to open a couple of 500 or 750 channels if that’s not too small.

A channel of that size probably won’t see much routing activity but it still good to get the experience.

I’m having issues opening up a channel to Chris so not sure if we will get that one working or not. Was there another one I needed to open? Just sending some funds to my node so I can probably do a 2M somewhere.

Just as I transfer funds the fees go up so I might be waiting a little while for the funds on my node! I’ll try and open one later on tonight!
#[6] 750k channel is now open, if you open one to #[7] then hopefully we can balance the channels and you will be able to send transactions through them!

I’m gonna add you to my node as a peer. I have my Tor connection restored and waiting to confirm it’s gonna be stable.
I’m low with on-chain this week so I can’t open any new channels for a bit, but if you already have a channel with me that’s a pretty good idea, as long as they’re all equal size.
That’s what I’m doing , moving funds so we can do this when fees go back down. 🤙🏻
