Apple health data is encrypted and store on device. Only goes to the cloud if you enable it (encrypted as well). Garmin watches are good too but don’t offer the same level of privacy. I find the ring thing not as good. Getting the heart rate from the finger is less accurate and the pricing model became super predatorial.

Whoop is encrypted but I don’t like the subscription aspect.

Not a fan of subscription services. I'd rather pay once and he done with it.

The oura ring was a one time fee before. Then they added fitness features and saw whoop as their main competitor so they started the subscription. Expensive ring + sub is crazy.

Same. It’s less predatory. And you own the device.
