Jeebus! CashApp charges 2.50% to buy #Bitcoin (on the relatively small amount I am trying to convert from cash). They want their cut, they use a spread, in addition to a fee.
Puts me right off.

I still buy on cash app because I can withdraw bitcoin to cold storage for free. Where do you usually get your bitcoin from?
Both of you check my nostr:npub1xkere5pd94672h8w8r77uf4ustcazhfujkqgqzcykrdzakm4zl4qeud0en referral link on my profile.
Best experience after trying almost all exchanges.
But you have a fee to purchase, so I must be dense, it isn’t free because it’s frontloaded.
I need to check with Hubs and get back to you.
KYC, strike.
Personally I’ve been exploring non-KYC alternatives and enjoy robosats. You need TOR to access, not as complicated as one may assume.
Tor is recommended by Satoshi in the white paper as I recall. That alone made me assume that it is way above my pay grade. But, I need to get over myself and get on with ₿YO ₿!
Strike. Free withdrawals, fee is less than 1%. I also like River, free DCA, but no free withdrawals
Just went through that today with them. Usually use Strike but decided to try Cashapp. Automatically charged the wrong account in addition to all the fees. Won't be using them anytime soon
Yeah. I tried sending the cash to my Strike wallet first, but nooooo, CashApp doesn’t that capability at this time. So I’m obliged to buy #Bitcoin to convert the cash and cough up a hairball’s worth of fees.
Finna to check out your link…
Strike is what you need. They just changed from spread to +-1% fee.
I love Strike. My issue was/is: I have cash in CashApp that couldn’t be sent over that app to my Strike wallet (their technical shortcoming), so my only option was to buy bitcoin, so it could be transferred to Strike. Checking out Robosats now.
Cashapp is competitive when you are trading over 100 or 500 at a time. I always compare before hitting buy
