It's never cheap. Unless you have the tools and buy the parts.

Working at Ford in parts, not cheap. I think the person responsible for pricing had a stroke or something

Most of it is having the right tools and instructions. I built a vw beetle motor 2 years ago for my dune buggy. Very cool learning experience. There are hiccups along the way. But I succeeded with the help of a friend.
