Visarion Toța was born in 1900. He became a monk at Sihăstria Monastery. Later he moved to Rohia Monastery. In 1948, he was arrested for his faith, enduring torture and imprisonment in communist prisons. Despite suffering, he remained steadfast in his beliefs, offering spiritual comfort to fellow prisoners. He died in Aiud prison in 1964, a martyr for his unwavering dedication to #Christ.
