Left-leaning folk push to lower the voting age because younger voters are more easily swayed by emotional appeals and promises of “free” benefits, lacking real-world experience in economics or taxation. Most teens certainly haven’t paid rent, run a business, or funded welfare through their paycheques. They’re taught virile activism, not accountability. Voting is a very serious civic duty, not a popularity contest. Giving political power to those without skin in the game only accelerates bad policy. A nation led by children will behave like one, irresponsible, broke, and entitled.
