The whole 'immigration' issue that is being played out at the moment is a 'two for one' for globalists.
Globalism requires that nationalism be put to rest.
The easiest way to do that is to fill a country with people that have no sense of nationalism, and to put them in positions of power.
So that is the first thing the globalists are achieving with this so called 'crisis'.
The second thing is that peole will respond to this by asking for more stringent checks at borders, which seems like a perfectly natural response to the issue, but even this is being exploited to introduce digitial ID systems that will apply, almost certainly, to the population as a whole, and not just at the border.
It's quite clever really when you think about it.

Most of the power in the world is highly centralised. It's always a bone of contention when peope argue over exactly what form that power takes, but it would be hard to argue that it isn't at leaste highly centralised.
