squirrelfish 🤙 mild, white-fleshed, and slightly sweet. Been trying to get one for a few days now. They’re pretty skiddish. Would definitely bag again, great eating.

sometimes I’m swimming for 3-4 hours so I try to just brain, bleed, and clean em immediately. Does chum the waters tho which can get a little dicey

Is the braining to alleviate suffering or does it serve some other purpose? How long do you stay under water?
both to alleviate suffering and to relax the muscles. ai’m very new to diving so only about 10-30 seconds. i dive solo a lot so keep it real conservative and only push it with a partner
