It’s refreshing to not need to self-censor myself out of fear of being cancelled.

Now we self censor based on fear of being muted or saying something super stupid.

I'm joking a little, but my voice on this network is so much louder that I'm aware of the risk.

This all leads to a more honest & civil discourse.

Freedom vs discretion of speech

Exactly.

I can say whatever I want but there may be a cost & so I choose to exercise discretion.

Would you be interested in hosting some nest sessions on the philosophy of btc? Perhaps planned weeks in advance so participants can do some background reading beforehand? Maybe pick one of your essays and one Heidegger piece?

I just finished your talk with Cedric and realized that I’m kind of over macro, interest rates, and the bond market, lol. Macro is an important baseline for understanding btc but beyond that it just seems noisy.

The talk with Cedric was pure signal. Even if there’s only a few us participating I think it could be quite beneficial to each of us and might open up some new doors in your writing.

Yes possibly. I just finished the manuscript of my book (which is a compilation of most of the essays I’ve wrote over the last 5 years) and I’ve been wanting to do a podcast for it with each episode focused on one chapter with a guest who has read the essay, but perhaps this will fit the bill. I’ll need to play with nest a bit first and get a feel for it. Thanks for listening to the show Ced and I did!

You should def do the pods but nest could be fun afterwards with interested plebs. I read a little Heidegger in grad school, would be fun to revisit.
