I just started keeping them because so many of the parents in my family - even the millennials - are so out of touch with the threats their children face I had no option but to start picking these up.

I want to be ready for them to mention “oh it’s fine, she’s just going through this phase where she’s pretending to be a boy, and-“

Too many inmy tribe are just….complacent. Cloistered. Blind to the threats they face. We currently have the “cool aunt/uncle/cousins” vibe and it helps, but we can only see all the kiddos infrequently.
