Is there any reason to get additional relays? If so what's the benifit?

Getting some paid relays can be useful to help reduce spam. If you are using Damus, the global feed can use only the paid relays so you don’t see the spam although you will also miss some posts from others that don’t use paid relays.
ah ok thanks. So not really that important then by the sounds of it. I dont see much spam.
