I’m just a watcher and a wanderer

Carefully sowing seeds

Carefully pruning weeds

Leaving imprints

From something hopefully heaven sent

So that those meant

For more

Might find a means to explore their depths

Find the gravity to orbit this mess

And express to themselves even in jest

They are made of the same jets of light and rocks

Pulled together by a universal pair of socks

Uncomfortable as it seems

Their path is not wrought with dirty hots

They are merely stars forming

Where older stars have not

And I too orbit for a while

And carefully watch or cause smiles

So that after awhile

Those seeds and imprints

Blossom in them something when

It’s needed

And until then I watch and blend

Words with friends

Light and sounds and mathematical whims

Just a watcher and a wanderer

From each bright star I do indeed saunter
