The dark side of AI.
Very much worth taking the time to listen to this talk and prepare mentally. The era of double exponentials might come sooner than you think.

Wow. Crazy stuff. Seems difficult to manage
Quite mindbending presentation.
Yeah, it changed my mind a bit. I had the opinion that we should not do anything because the cat is out of the bag anyways and people always tend to over exaggerate dangers. Like we did when cars were invented or electricity was discovered.
I think the parallels they draw how we lost the first battle against the AI:s with the advent of algorithms in social media. So its good not to be too utopian about this stuff, and go in with a complete picture, of both the benefits and the risks.
For example, going forward I think we'll have to build in cryptographic signatures in everything to prove that we're real and not AI:s.
Wow. No such thing as privacy or secrecy from AI.
A couple takeaways:
1)These guys refer to “Our friend” Yuval Harari…
2)Part of their model for the monster with tentacles affecting society was GDP…? I understand how technology affects it, but why is that part of their presentation?
3) Several times, they referred to there “not being laws” to prevent this type of activity. Why not present a technological solution?
It’s my opinion that the government wants to present this as a threat to KYC any internet usage whatsoever. I’d like to know who funds these guys.
I agree with your points. Also with KYC and deep fakes, aren’t they loading up the AI with the ability to impersonate real human?
It’s already happening. The problem is laws aren’t going to stop it… We need technologies and systems in place to prevent deep fakes etc. We have to be careful not to give up the right to privacy because of deepfake potential. These guys come out with a movie “The Social Dilemma” AFTER it has already wrecked society. Now they’re pushing WEF advocate Yuval Harari’s ideologies? Fuck them
fear mongering always serves the state
they have a vested interest in keeping you afraid and keeping themselves in charge of anything new
the net result of this fear mongering will be more and more laws and more and more power concentrated in the hands of the state
