I don't understand meaning of that secret🤔
Bitcoin consensus rules are all opened. Since the miner manufacturers are private companies, their optimization methods could be secrets.
Block is working on open source asic specs. That should help.
We also need stratum v2 to help make mining betterer.
I thought mining pool algorithm and mining machine seperately.
Does the mining machine do anything else more than find PoW(sha 256)? Such as something related to mining pool algorithm. Even if so, I'm not sure that it means openess is required.
(I don't know much about mining)
A mining machine has to speak the protocol supported by the pool.
