I understand that non-competes can be used to impose undue hardship on certain categories of workers but have you considered how banning all of them undermines parties' freedom to contract?

Non compete contracts allow multi-national corporations to contractually cripple their competition by denying them the ability to employ qualified workers.
This legislation will enable US companies to employ people that are being held as contractual hostages by foreign owned corporations.
It was never about the workers. No one gives a shit about them.
