I think we’ve massively over complicated the role of technology in our lives. It’s supposed to serve us, free up time, make life more free.

Instead, we’ve used it to replace IRL interaction, become dependent on it, and overall let it make us less capable.

I’m guilty of this 100%

The massive deflation it created in our economy allowed governments to swell into monsters creating intense amount of inflation. This lead us to be even more dependent and addicted to tech because we had to be even more productive.

Vicious cycle that did not have to happen.

Agreed. It also flooded VCs with money to fund and hype projects that would otherwise be completely ignored.

Tech+bitcoin = abundance

Tech+fiat = serfdom

The sad part is bitcoin is going to invert the economy so bad it's going to seem worse than serfdom for awhile. It's going to be the equivalent of letting an animal that has been captive at the zoo for 50 years back into nature.

We have to go back and un-fuck everything from 1970 onward.
