Products that become obsolete quickly are rarely worth buying, because most products also take time to learn to use in a smart and useful way.

The problem is that everything is increasingly treated this way. I bought a Canon R6 for $3600 and then only 2 years later did the mark II come out for basically the same price.

Dishwashers, clothes washers/dryers fridges and microwaves are no different. Not only is it not the cheap stuff, it's more obvious in the more expensive things.
