I wasn't excited at all when hearing the news that Nikkei was hitting an all time high (in JPY).

Here is the Nikkei denominated in JPY and USD.

Nikkei needs to rise more than 20% from these levels to catch up with 2021 February levels when denominated in USD.

It's not the value of Nikkei going up, it's the value of JPY going down.

Exactly. Probably even better to denominate in gold or of course Bitcoin. The fiat ship is sinking and it will take all fiat paper down with it.
