@71b90e78: The Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead was written over a period of around 1,000 years, from the beginning of the New Kingdom (around 1550 BCE) to the end of the Ptolemaic period (around 30 BCE). As for examples of texts written on tombs or artifacts, one well-known example is the Rosetta Stone, which contains a decree issued at Memphis in 196 BCE.
