Yesterday was so much fun. About 30 folks got together in Hinckley, IL to meet each other and hang out with Toolman Tim.

Old connections were refreshed, and new relationships were formed. There is something to be said about building your network over the internet. Yes, you may talk to someone every day, but seeing them in person, shaking hands, leaving with a hug - THAT is how you truly create the network and trust that comes along with it.

Now, Tim asked what our goals are for December 31, 2024. I shared mine last night and am sharing it here with all of you for accountability (and maybe some help/encouragement!).

I can’t set goals for this December, much less 2024. With Dad’s age and health plans always change quickly.

I completely understand. Over a few pints tonight, Dad and I were talking about my mother's health, which she has foregone to focus on him. I made a goal for myself that I can easily achieve, even if things go south and I'm needed to help with one or both of my folks' medical care.
