ECB Executive Piero Cipollone on the 💶 Euro CBDC:
"We can only see 3 things for each transaction:
1) A code representing the payer
2) The amount to be transferred
3) A code representing the payee
We won't be able to link the code of the payer/payee to a specific person."

We are going to tag the payer and the payee with a unique code for fun
For them, knowing a person´s name is not strictly necessary. Assigning a number o code tag to each individual is enough. That number is then linked to many other metadata points. In principle, they could still block access to funds without knowing the name and surname of the blocked individual-haha!
