Many to Most Amazon reviews are fake.

Products that are sold from China have agents working for them.

These agents use a Chinese social media app called WeChat to network with thousands of over seas Chinese diaspora.

Friends recommend these agents to other friends.

They share a link to their products with WeChat users. Users buy the product, take a picture and leave a five star review.

Once the review goes live proof of the review is sent to the WeChat agent.

The WeChat agent then sends money via PayPal (or other method) to the buyer.

It's either all of the money or most of the money.

Amazon's AI occasionally defects the reviews might be fake and bans accounts. Both reviewers and sellers.

So now these companies are even paying for the occasional 1 star review. It makes their shop appear more real to Amazon's systems.

I was just thinking about this. I just reviewed a friend's cigar lounge on FB and Google, and I was thinking how cool it would be to do reviews on Nostr. Business directories and maps with reviews/recommendations would be a great addition to Nostr.

Reviews would fairly easy to implement but I don't know how you would control for bots.
