St. John's Wort and the gym. Also use psilocybin mushrooms in small doses. If that doesn't work you need to blast off on DMT.

I had a traumatic head injury which landed me in a coma for a week and a half, it also exacerbated my mood swings and depression. The methods mentioned earlier gave me a new perspective on life. I haven't had suicidal thoughts since.

Depression is often just a result of poor health in general. If you're low energy and don't feel good then you're going to be unhappy and unmotivated.

The Human Upgrade podcast is a great way to learn ways to turn it around, and actually end up feeling unbelievably good, motivated and capable.

What about if you experienced a traumatic event that was devastatingly emotional where it PHYSICALLY hurt and you haven’t been able to recover.

I was there 3 years ago. Seemed like it just took time to heal (over a year for me), but I can see how something severe might not seem like it's improving. In that situation I'd try psilocybin in secluded nature. I'd also consider a major pattern break like moving, or a new job or hobby to force my brain into an unfamiliar rhythm.
