"Please support legislation for Pollinator-Safe Plants.
Senator Jeff Merley announced legislation that would create a pollinator-friendly plant labelling program. I strongly support this legislation and I ask you to do the same. At a time when insect populations are dropping 1-2% per year, we have to change the way our practices of interacting with nature, specifically, the over-use of pesticide..."
"... Insects are a vital part of our food chain and without them life, including human life, cannot survive. Creating a pollinator-safe label would allow plant producers to market themselves as truly nature friendly - an incentive for consumers.
Please support legislation that will provide pathways for plant producers, and more broadly, for people who interact with plants, to avoid pesticides. "
