No apps, no browser?
Why would I call through phone number? I prefer to use an app. No apps to send messages, why should I pay for a text in 2023? Not all progress is bad haha. To be honest I dont need a phone number if I have internet.

Yes, you're right. But I can imagine that for some reason I'll decide to do a digital detox, cut myself off from the internet and head to the mountains to herd sheep. And then I'll reach for a phone just like this.... Or not even that 😎
Hahaha yeah but then I would go for old reliable Nokia brick phone.
I used an ipod touch 15 years ago, with Google voice, as a phone. Until apple cut that shit off, it used to be perfect. That was 2009. Apple allowed Google Voice, with some of features stripped later in 2010. Some of those features are back again. Love it, but they sure don't approve of you just skating by without a "carrier plan".
I fucking hate gatekeeping.
