Beware of doing KYC on ZBD app because no matter how much you request them to delete your account and data in their system, they will not do it.

What sucks even more is when you mistakenly link your zbd account to your #nostr account. This wrong doing will make your nostr "centralized". There's no other way as of the moment on how to unlink zbd account from nostr account, so NEVER link your nostr to your zbd.

So yeah, claiming that nostr is "decentralized" is an illusion. If scammer zbd app can do it, others also can. If nostr is truly decentralized, this kind of "attacks" to make it centralized will not easily happen. Hope this attack on nostr will be fixed soon.

Nostr is open and decentralized. What you described is actually a decent example. Anyone can build anything they want, even a client that won't allow you to export your key or won't allow you to delete your imported key. Now, does that suck and is it a shitty practice? Absolutely. ZBD won't be the only or the last service that does this. As Nostr grows into Other Stuff, this will happen more often. It's up to users to teach people the difference in clients and custody of their keys. This is the same educational argument as Bitcoin. Just because Coinbase holds your keys doesn't mean Bitcoin isn't decentralized. They're just one implementation of it.

true

I don't listen to any words from a shitcoiner sorry. Next...

You're either a bad troll, horribly mistaken, or both. Work hard. I believe in you. 🫂

What an odd response? You acknowledge how connecting third parties can be sucky, advise that in a decentralised evolving world shit like this can happen (and to learn before diving in), and then get accused of being a shitcoiner? 🤣

absolutely lol. they're a troll. i muted and moved on already.

You must be new here. nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 is about the furthest you can get from a shitcoiner 😊

If you can’t export your nsec, is it really a nostr client ?

Derek already said it, Nostr is decentralized, apparently you did some KYC in ZBD wich is a client that might have their own data. People must be aware of this. Also what you place on Nostr is mostly public visible and hard to delete.

As long as this isn't fixed. Nostr will always be bugged centralized place for me. Bitcoin is immune to this kind of attacks, nostr is not. Again, i don't listen to shitcoiners. Next...

In bitcoin you get a new address for every tx, in nostr you can get a new npub for different clients or use cases, like bitcoin if you use the same address everytime and link to your id you're done, the difference is that in nostr you want to keep your identity so yeah be more careful and study more.

If you give ZbD your nsec you can still use it on other clients. The issue is creating your npub in zbd

I did not create my nostr or npub in zbd app.

If they have your nsec, they control your account, they can post as you, read your DM, etc. Not your keys, not your identity.

Beware of doing KYC Bitcoin on Celsius no matter how much you ask they will go bankrupt and they wont give back your Bitcoin. What sucks even more is if you take a loan out you have to pay cel tokens or eth derivitaves to get whole so never take a loan out from Celsius.

So yeah claiming Bitcoin is “decentralized”is an illusion if scammers like Celsius can, others can too. If bitcoin is truly decentralized, this kind of "attacks" to make it centralized will not easily happen. Hope this attack on bitcoin will be fixed soon.
