Doesn’t matter, since being mortal means at some point I’ll cease existing and will not contemplate being gone. Being immortal means the lifetime of the universe = my own lifetime, which is pretty much the same after perception of time adjusts to that lifetime. What actually matters is quality of life.

True, but if there’s an afterlife then that’s the same as immortality in my mind. Perhaps with quality of life varying wildly depending on who’s right about how it works!
