No they didn't. It was given to them for free.

Some company paid for it at one point but MY point is the people that gave us the food box got it free and gave it to me for free.

The renumeration stopped at one point.

Some things are free.

If I pick up a chestnut and eat it, it was free.

Absolutes have acceptions in stiff minds like yours.

I'm neural divergent. When I thought of a free food, apples came to mind first.

I have synisthesia. I can taste colors. Apple red tastes gross to me, almost like rotton lettuce.

Chestnut brown tastes creamy and savory to me

I diverted to chestnuts for the cream.
