Yeah

Yeah

Do you see my comment?

definitely 😂

There is no way to delete previous comments?

No.

Be careful hhh it’s forever

Ahhh every time 🤣

This and the Nostr typo meme 😂

No way to edit or delete?

Even for the writer itself?

I like that it can't be deleted by others, but I want to be able to edit my own items.

You can use long-form client like Habla.news, which allow you edit

It is also a fake edit if you look into the implementation details but at least you feel you edited it. Like everyone, if they want, they can see the edit history

One of the best ever.

You can ask politely, but not always

You can also try this method.

Yeah

Yeah

You need to add some more lyrics.

The one mobile client I have that offers “delete” I just imagine the button says “delete… please?”

Let me feel, it is deleted , please

This is perfect. I was thinking a few minutes ago that someone should create a micro app called “did it delete?” That just scans all possible relays for evidence of that note. Bonus points for rebroadcasting it to all relays if it’s found 😂

Damus caches all notes locally in nostrdb. How do you delete from those?

I’m not sure what they’re using but this seems to work

https://nostr-delete.vercel.app/

That would not delete cached notes on devices. There will be many caches in many clients, so will not have the delete event depending on different views of the network.

In a network that doesn’t have a consistent state there is no guarantee that notes will be deleted across the many different nostr clients and relays that will exist.

Therefore calling it “delete” is deeply misleading and will lead to lots of confusion.

Thank you for clarifying 🤙🏼

Well you don’t! Thats why I joke the app should also rebroadcast. Even if it thinks the note is deleted it probably still exists somewhere like all the nostrdb instances I wasn’t even thinking about

No. No edit or delete. Craft your note with care. Protip: turn off autocorrect or wither in frustration on the daily.
