Scrum is a tool of oppression and micromanagement wrapped in fancy words.

It’s like a religion in some places.

I've worked in one project where it seriously did the job and was kind of useful to improve teams performance.

And ye, there were no dedicated scrum masters. Just management guys did scrum mastering each other's teams with friction of their time.

But that was unicorn. Apart from that it's just waste of time and full time scrum masters are such waste of money.

We will be laughing of scrum in couple years from now.

Agreed but so is employment in general 😅

Scrum is management’s idea of agile software development, so it overrates process and underrates quality developers. It also puts businesspeople in the driver’s seat and engineers in the back seat. BSAs produce a flow of feature requests without the knowledge of the software that the programmers have. Restructuring or fixing code debt tend not to become stories, so they tend not to get done and software gets worse.
