One of the military units I donated to recently was fundraising to develop and build interceptors to take down Russian Shahed drones. I've heard that particular unit has been quite successful at it, and it (hopefully!) won't be long before a significant % of Russian shaheds are stopped by interceptors.

There's a non-zeeo chance a Russian Shahed will kill me on one of my trips to Kyiv – closest I've been to a hit on an apartment building is only a few kilometers.

So my donation waa improving my own safety in a very direct way.
