There is multiple layers of encryption. They tend to be able to rip 720p and below. But 4k content is often never decrypted or the exploit is patched within hours if one being found.
That's why you can only watch Netflix in 4k on like windows with Internet explorer.

If something is on the internet then it will stay on the internet. That is the princaple I have in my mind while browsing the internet. Especially in an age where everything is archived by someone somewhere. Nothing is inpenetrable.
You can even record your display output with a capture card. If it gets so intense you can try to record your screen with an actual camera in a dark room somewhere. But there will be other problems that are more important before we need to go this far. As I have said before: nothing is inpenetrable.
