#pleblog thought.

Day 41 of observing some of the least toxic trolling I've witnessed. At least once a day I catch myself asking "what the hell is even going on here", then get caught in comment threads of memes and contemplative responses.

I somehow can't believe the typical rhetoric, closed minded shitstorm everywhere else hasn't reached #nostr yet. I've only blocked maybe three bots.

It's as if everyone comes here from their daily routines, full of struggles and beauties just to give the run a rest and say what they want.

And no one is actively seeking conflict. It's crazy how rare something like what's happening here occurs. And how oddly normal it feels to interact this way.

Wild times.

Wild times indeed

Its amazing what happens when conflict isnt rewarded

Truly. In a way I wish the money didn't fix this too... but I think it is.

There's no reason to bring vitriol. No benefit to come in with cruelty. You can have a discussion and disagree.

Just be kind and that energy follows you here.

And if you want to joke around you can joke around and be ignored not pandered.

I think its more than a money aspect you also do not get any cloud here with many likes

Or reactions pulling your thing up

I love it its super refreshing to see one of the things that occupied my thoughts most is how politics is formed now by social media

But reality 90% of topics pushed by social media are not topics people care about but algo pushes it up so anyone looking at twitter will go oh you see this is what people want

Nope people just want to be happy and connect having meaningfull discussion they truely dont care if brad pitt cheated

Maybe that's it. I've never chased clout. I've never wanted attention. Maybe that's why i am sticking with this. We haven't all completely given up on each other here.

We all just want to figure out our lives, and get new ideas from the input of others. Or just laugh, or be vulnerable.

Not just be shouting at each other. That's what Thanksgivings with people you know too well are for 😂

The algorithms elsewhere are a huge huge problem.

There's a randomness here where if that negative interaction does occur, it just fades to the past.

The zaps are just a cool integration.

I hadn't noticed that!

Maybe it's the lack of moderation. Like a boxing match wouldn't work the same if there were no ropes. The overton window pushes people together like bugs in a jar. No jar, no fight, the bugs will just leave. Just two bugs not bugging each other.
