Yeah, it's an unrealistic requirement. But there's enough of us, now, to have local, el-cheapo meetups, and those are slowly rolling out. Very exciting. More like what #einundzwanzig does.

Local in-person meetups are ONE part of the solution to CENTRALIZED over-influence from Nostr elites.
ANOTHER part is for us plebes to PREFER boosting and posting to each other’s threads rather than jumping onto the “popular” Nostr elite threads.
A third part is just to ignore Primal, nostr band or wherever people get the notion of someone being elite and just start to curate your own followers list with people who talk about stuff you find interesting
Well, you can easily see the elites in most clients because they are hardly in the replies, but their OPs repost like 20 times in your feed. 😂
Even if they just post an emoji and can't even be bothered to write a single word, you'll see that emoji immediately begin to cascade.
Maybe I'm not following enough fanboys to have this problem, but I'll keep an eye on it to see if I'm just ignoring it or if I'm being so starstruck that some elite person has actually showed up in my modest timeline that I'm not annoyed about it 😂

Have you thought about attending local meetups and events? I have been driving 3-5 hours to attend meetups. Building your local community is extremely beneficial.
