If our reputation is our identity, then the old saying of "your word is your bond" applies here too. I often say I'll do a lot of things and sometimes it takes me longer than expected to complete those tasks. Life, family, friends, random new projects all seem to creep up on me. But if I said I'll do it, I will do it. Just give me time. Also sometimes a reminder helps too. 🥹

Listen. I'll sand the drywall mud in the basement stairwell soon. I don't want to do it because it's going to get dust all over the floor and then I'm going to have to paint the entire damn thing. I don't want to waste an entire day doing that for something that most people never see. I will do it this winter. I promise.
