Respectfully this is the most horseshit argument I have ever heard. While I agree that opting out is the best form of protest the only way to truly do that is to rescind citizenship so as to stop paying taxes. Even then you have to be a citizen somewhere. Until we fix the money, nothing else can be fixed so if I have to wink at the devil to move that train along I’ll do it without hesitation. And no, that doesn’t make me a murderer. Idealism cannot fix the world. Human action can incrementally move us in a better direction.

You really think bitcoin fixes this on its own? That is a horseshit argument.
How did countries have wars on a gold standard?
African slavery, Trail of Tears, and Japanese American internment camps during WW2 all on a gold standard so non war atrocities also still work.
You are the human action you refer to. You need to do better, be better, and fight back harder. Your rationalizations are just free ammo you give your enemies.
Show me the way. What should a person do? I have told you what I think. Tell me what you think. Persuade me.
I just told you. You need to go be an activist.
What does an activist do? Is there an org you promote or is it just waving signs on the corner?
Lazy and you'll never really bother with my causes. Find a way to pay less in taxes. Go find an organization that fights against the government overreach that you most care about and help them.
If you are really incapable of figuring this out on your own I'm partial to the EFF and it is a cause in line with the cypherpunk ethos. Pick groups like 2nd Amendment Foundation over the NRA who are basically a wing of the Republican Party.
Listen dude. I’m engaging with you and trying to draw out and understand your way of thinking. You don’t know me and ad hominem attacks make you look immature. I am a lot of things but I am not a lazy man. People come from different backgrounds and have different ways of engaging in the world. I think if you were to engage with me instead of insulting me you’d find we are more aligned than you think, but maybe I said something in this string that offended you and you’ve already written me off. If so, all good.
Anyway, thank you for giving me something I can chew on. When I have a moment I’ll look up those organizations and see if they resonate with me.
Good luck with the activism! I hope you build the world you want to live in.
