I don't think it's a war between two armies, Hamas is hardly an army.

There is only 1 army (the israeli one), so they would've never agreed to a cease fire if it didn't benefit them.

The Ukraine vs Russia war is really America by proxy vs Russia.

The Russians don't really want to kill ethnic Russians in Ukraine, so they are taking their time until the Americans allow the Ukrainians to stop dying with a ceasefire deal.
