be upset, say some swear words, buy another SSD, plug it in, redownload bitcoin, use your channel backup to force close all of your channels, wait a few days, have all of your bitcoin on-chain, and be happy.

I had a bricked ssd and corrupt channel backups in the past. I can tell you it was no fun.

This was always a concern for me. Now I run my SSDs in a RAID config in case I need to rebuild.

lol I can understand that, it essentially just keeps a dual copy of your data on two drives. I got started with it on RaspiBlitz since they have a deployment for using a RAID setup. https://github.com/rootzoll/raspiblitz/blob/v1.8/FAQ.md#storing-your-important-data-in-raid1-with-a-usb-thumb-drive Now I'm just using a hardware raid on my server setup.
