My wife and son are staying for an additional 2 weeks and I wish I could stay with them but I need to get back to the grind.

I have come to the realization that past a certain point I’d rather spend money on experiences (especially travel) over just socking it all away. I’ve found a nice balance that works for me.
Time and time with loved ones is the most precious thing we have. I’ve had the realization that taking trips and adventuring are peak life and will be the things I look back most fondly on later. Wasting opportunities to travel is a huge mistake for me.
I promise to get back to you with recommendations, need some time to formulate my thoughts and opinions.

There is an alluring mystique about Japan. I’ve been interested in ancient Japanese history for a long time. I’m especially interested in rural Japan but would definitely want to visit Tokyo too.
