Mostly we kind of just wing it here. I’m sure someone has written a guide but there’s no central repository, and there are some things that depend on your client, OS, and even location.

Welcome to the club, haha! I’ve been trying to explain Nostr to noobs for over two years. 😂

If you’re on Primal for mobile you are ahead of the game in terms of Lightning because of the built-in wallet. Most other clients don’t have this feature.

If you want a wallet that works with more clients you can check out nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm which was built for Nostr integration, but needs an invite code. (You can get one here.)

The built in wallet on Primal isn’t automatically set up on registering an account though?

No, because it’s provided by a third party service (Strike) and there’s some minimal KYC required to use it. It doesn’t let you activate it in every location.
