Question about muting. Do paid relays mute accounts and if so, how do you know if you've been muted?

I didn't know that was a thing. I wonder what criteria they would use. I've had a serious lack of engagement lately, ever since I questioned Jack Dorsey's sincerity. Not that I was that popular to begin with. Probably a coincidence.
Hoping a dev or relay operator will weigh in. I assume they would with spam and explicit material. Im curious to know what the process would be
