Someone had called my social media feed “Hasbara” (Hebrew: הַסְבָּרָה) and I had to look it up. It has no direct English translation, but roughly means "explaining". It is a communicative strategy that "seeks to explain actions, whether or not they are justified".

That’s a fair description.

Hmm hasbara means also Israeli propaganda against Palestinians.

They even have a 112 page script on bow to initiate a conversation about Israel vs Palestine, separated by topics, in a way that makes the listener see Israels actions in good light.
