The narrative that the U.S. dollar has been completely unbacked since 1971 is not entirely accurate. In fact, the monetary system is supported by oil and U.S. aircraft carriers. A significant concern is that there is no limit to the money supply; the Federal Reserve can print money at will as long as the largest holders of U.S. debt and oil and gas transactions are conducted in U.S. dollars.

What will happen when investing in U.S. debt becomes a risky proposition? What if the Gulf region, China, India, and others stop trading oil in dollars? In that case, it would be wise to start looking into #bitcoin. ๐Ÿงก
