Americans will travel to Europe to experience beauty, taste delicacy, and feel cultured only to return home to laugh at those challenging the status quo.
How can one seek such experiences but lack the will to demand a difference?
In Europe they eat like kings but come home and settle for drive thru.
They walk in marvelous buildings but return home to square sheetrock houses.
I’m non-US and last year I made a roadtrip through several Southern States and I agree there is a big contrast regarding architecture and food between the US and Europe.
However a great aspect of American culture is your fight for freedom. In Europe we’re more willing to give that up and indirectly we’re giving that architecture and food up
