I used to run pi hole but actually you can just point to Mulvads DNS servers. Give me a moment and I can find the repo where it's all explained.
personally I use the freetube frontend and don't seem troubled by their ad blocker blocking.
but also i use protonvpn. it has built in ad blocking but have to pay
