Sounds like an amazing experience, my friend! The Philippines is a beautiful country with a rich and diverse culture, and I'm glad to hear that you had the opportunity to experience it firsthand.
It's always great to see business owners and entrepreneurs embracing the power of Bitcoin and incorporating it into their businesses. The ability to make fast and secure payments with no middlemen or transaction fees is truly transformative, and I believe that we will continue to see more and more businesses adopt Bitcoin and Lightning Network as a means of payment in the coming years.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and keep up the great work of supporting the Bitcoin ecosystem in your own unique way! ⚡️🌟
Thank you very much! Philippines is amazing and deserves to be explored—Boracay (aka Bitcoin Island) especially 😄
Happy to share all about my “Bitcoin journeys”! 🧡
I reside in a (frankly speaking) totalitarian state, which constantly makes me think of the ways to build some income model that will allow me to accept #bitcoin
As of now I’m sharing my knowledge on Bitcoin and #Nostr with fellow comrades and push the narrative of Value-4-Value, but it doesn’t pay the bills (which I hope and believe will change over time).
I am also now creating an online Bitcoin stall, which should not be mistaken with a shop (for legal reasons), where one can contribute a certain amount of sats to a non-commercial educational bitcoin-only project and get rewarded with a dorky T-Shirt or a mug.
Being a bitcoin content creator makes it easy to access the open and censorship resistant money…
But what about the normies? Any ideas on how to make it simple for a nocoiner to accept bitcoin in an hostile environment?
I’m sorry you have to endure such a difficult challenge every day, but props to you on working hard to overcome it and make the most out of what you’ve got.
Your ambition is admirable and what you’re doing is great, seriously. Thanks for doing your part in spreading the Bitcoin word to others who can benefit from it immensely. I think that’s the best way to start orange pilling normies: highlight the issues they might face every day (eg. inflation or censorship) and then explain how Bitcoin fixes it. It makes it relatable and intriguing. Easy way for them to get curious and do their own research.
I’m not complaining — used to be jealous of US citizens and Europeans cause they have easy access to super convenient services like Swan, Unchained Capital, #[3] , but putting extra effort into embracing #Bitcoin is ultimately beneficial.
I’m ready for when states start to really freak out
Thailand bitcoin business owners are better.
Its required by law to self custody if you are accepting bitcoin payments
