Love it šŸ’œ

Did you play you against you?

I started a local go club, so I have real human people to play

Nice. 13x13 is a good board size.

9x9 games seem so restrictive that the games lack a ton of variation, especially when accounting for equivalent flips and rotations.

I made a 9x9 out of clay like 20 years ago. It is modeled as a courtyard contained by 4 ā€œGreat Wall of Chinaā€ wall sections with towers at the 4 corners. I made it to be a ā€œbeginner’s boardā€ that easily leads to discussion of how Weiqi/Go is related to the GWoC.

19x19 takes much longer to get through. It’s great for veteran vs veteran games but for novices and journeymen, 13x13 is a much better board size.

Yeah, I love 13x13 for a nice, shorter tactical game. I'd love to see a picture of your board

One of my math & critical thinking students decided to graffiti label a couple of the towers šŸ˜’

Nice, very fun design, I like the slots for pieces

Beautiful board. It's rare I play on a physical board because of lack of local players to play with. Tried to get my kid into it but there weren't any skins he could buy so it didn't keep his attention...
